Another Smoothie Recipe

I used pretty ripe bananas in this smoothie, which made for no needed additional sweeteners! We love our smoothies, and sometimes they are “the best ever.” So, I have to write them down. This one shows up at least once a week in our cups.

– 1 cup water kefir (first or 2nd ferment, I used apple “soda” from our 2nd ferment)
– 1 cup dairy kefir or coconut milk kefir
– 3 ripe bananas (the riper*aka*sweeter, the better)
– 1 T kelp granules or powder
– Hefty squirt of trace minerals
– 1 T bentonite clay
– 6 ice cubes or the equivalent of frozen chunks of fruit

Whiz all in blender for 1-2 minutes or until blended. If you use the kelp granules, you’ll find they don’t puree well, so you can either drink as is (we do, since we don’t have texture issues), or you can whiz them in your blender first, until they are a powder. After you turn your granules into a powder, you can add the rest of your ingredients.
